Terms and Conditions
Welcome to Cat Vibes B.V. We are dedicated to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for your feline friends. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using our services. By booking a stay for your cat(s) at Cat Vibes B.V. you agree to the following terms:
1. General Information
1.1. Cat Vibes B.V. (referred to as “the Hotel,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is located at Poortland 242, 1046 BD Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
1.2. Our services are provided to cat owners (referred to as “you” or “your”) who seek boarding, care, and other related services for their cats (referred to as “pet” or “cat”).
2. Reservations, Rescheduling and Cancellations
2.1. Reservations must be made in advance through our website (www.catvibes.nl) or email (info@catvibes.nl).
2.2. The total booking amount is required to be paid in full at the time of reservation to secure your booking. In compliance with Dutch consumer law, particularly the “Wet op de Consumentenkrediet” (Consumer Credit Act), if applicable, you will have the right to withdraw from the booking within 14 days of payment, unless the reservation date falls within this period, in which case the withdrawal right will not apply.
2.3. You may reschedule your reservation without penalty if done more than 7 days before your scheduled check-in date. Rescheduling within 7 days of the check-in date may incur an additional administration fee of 20 EUR. The rescheduling is subject to room availability and is not guaranteed.
2.4. Refund Policy:
Full Refund: Cancellations made more than 28 days prior to the check-in date will receive a full refund.
Partial Refund: Cancellations made between 27 and 15 days prior to the check-in date will receive a 50% refund.
No Refund: Cancellations made less than 14 days prior to the check-in date will not be eligible for a refund.
2.5. In cases of emergencies (e.g., severe illness of the pet, natural disasters), customers can provide documentation, and we may offer a full refund or reschedule the booking without additional charges.
2.6. All rescheduling and cancellations requests must be made in writing via email or through an online form on www.catvibes.nl to ensure proper documentation and timely processing.
3. Conditions for Staying
3.1. All cats must be in good health and free from contagious diseases.
3.2. Required vaccinations include vaccinations against Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis (FVR), Feline Calicivirus (FCV), and Feline Panleukopenia virus (FPLV) / Feline Parvovirus (FPV). Proof of vaccination must be stated in a vaccination book provided during check-in. The vaccinations must be stamped and signed by a veterinarian.
3.3. All vaccinations must have the following validity:
FVR and FCV: not later than 3 weeks prior to the stay and not older than 10 months on the day your cat returns home.
FPLV / FPV: not later than 3 weeks prior to the stay and not older than 2-3 years.
Bordetella bronchiseptica (if applicable): not later than 6 weeks prior to the stay.
3.4. All cats must be at least 4 months old.
3.5. All cats must be microchipped.
3.6. All cats older than 6 months must be castrated / sterilized.
3.7. All cats must be free from parasites, including fleas and worms.
3.8. We reserve the right to refuse check-in if your cat shows signs of illness at the time of drop-off. This is to ensure the health and safety of all cats in our care.
4. Check-In and Check-Out
4.1. Check-in and check-out time is between [Time] and [Time].
4.2. Check-ins/outs outside of predetermined hours (as mentioned in point 4.1) are subject to availability and are not gueranteed. If you want to arrange check-in/check-out outside of the standard time slot you need to contact the facility at least 2 days before your arrival.
4.3. Failure to Pick Up: If you fail to pick up your cat(s) at the agreed-upon date and time, additional charges will apply unless alternative arrangements have been made in advance and confirmed in writing by both parties. These charges will include the cost of additional days your cat(s) remains in our care, along with any administrative fees.
In the event that you do not pick up your cat(s) on the scheduled check-out date, and no alternative arrangements have been made, we will first attempt to contact your designated emergency contact. If we are unable to reach them and provided we have available space, we will continue to care for your cat(s) for up to 7 additional days, during which time standard boarding fees will apply.
However, if we do not have availability or if 7 days have passed without successful contact or pick-up, we reserve the right to transfer your cat(s) to a local animal shelter in accordance with animal welfare regulations. Please note that you will be responsible for all incurred boarding and transfer fees during this time.
5. Cat Care and Safety
5.1. We provide a clean and secure environment for your cat, including individual suites (rooms), regular feeding, fresh water, and litter box maintenance.
5.2. If your cat has special dietary needs, you are required to provide the appropriate dietary food for the duration of your cat’s stay, along with detailed instructions regarding their care.
5.3. We will take all reasonable measures to ensure the safety and security of your cat during their stay. Your cat will remain in their individual suite, which will be locked overnight. Each suite is designed to be free from harmful objects and potential hazards to promote your cat’s well-being. Additionally, if you have chosen a Solo Suite for your cat, they will have supervised playtime in common areas with other cats during designated times. Our staff will carefully monitor these interactions to ensure your cat’s safety and comfort while they engage in social and physical activities.
5.4. If your cat shows signs of illness during their stay, we will contact you and your designated emergency contact. If you or your emergency contact cannot be reached in time and your cat’s condition requires urgent veterinary treatment, we reserve the right to seek such care immediately. The costs of such treatment will be covered by you.
5.5. We are not responsible for any pre-existing conditions or health issues that arise during your cat’s stay.
6. Personal Items
6.1. You may bring personal items for your cat, such as bedding, toys, or food. Your items will be stored in your cat’s suite, which will ensure only your cat is using them.
6.2. Your personal items will not be cleaned during or after your cat’s stay to eliminate the possibility for items to be lost.
6.3. We are not responsible for personal items in case they are damaged by your cat.
7. Liability
7.1. While we take every precaution to ensure the safety and well-being of your cat, we are not liable for any injury, illness, or death of your cat during their stay, except in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct on our part.
7.2. In the unfortunate and unforeseen situation when the guest animal die in the pet boarding centre during its accommodation, a veterinarian may carry out a post mortem examination at the request of the entrepreneur. The entrepreneur shall inform the consumer or his contact of the planned post mortem examination in advance. The cost of this examination shall be for the entrepreneur’s account.
7.3. The consumer may:
– ask his own veterinarian to carry out the post mortem examination should the entrepreneur decide against such an examination;
– ask his own veterinarian to carry out a counter-check after the cause of death.
In both these cases the relevant cost are for the consumer’s account.
7.4. You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your cat’s stay at our hotel, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct as outlined in Dutch law.
8. Behavior and Temperament
8.1. You must inform us of any behavioral issues or special needs your cat may have.
8.2. We reserve the right to refuse service to cats that display aggressive or dangerous behavior.
8.3. If your cat exhibits behavior that is harmful to itself or our employees, we will contact you and your emergency contact to arrange for immediate pick-up if we deemed its necessary. Costs associated with the stay will not be reimbursed in such cases.
8.4. In the event that your cat shows signs of aggression toward other cats during group play, and we determine that it poses a danger to your cat or others, we will not allow them to join group play for safety reasons. They will remain in their suite for the duration of their stay. If you know that your cat does not get along well with other cats, we strongly recommend opting for a Grand Suite or Supreme Suite from the beginning to avoid any negative scenarios.
9. Emergency Contact
9.1. You must provide an emergency contact who is available and able to pick up your cat in case of an emergency.
9.2. If we are unable to reach you or your emergency contact, we will take appropriate action to ensure the safety and well-being of your cat.
10. Privacy and Data Protection
10.1. We collect personal information such as your personal and contact details, and your cat’s medical history to provide our services.
10.2. We will not share your personal information with third parties without your consent. All personal information collected during booking and check-in process will be kept to adhere to the regulations, as stated in General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR or Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming, AVG), the European privacy law and Dutch privacy regulations.
10.3. You have the right to request access to, rectification of, or erasure of your personal data, as well as the right to restrict or object to its processing, in line with GDPR regulations. Please contact us if you wish to exercise any of these rights.
11. Client Comments, Feedback and Other Submissions
11.1. If, at our request, you send certain specific submissions (for example contest entries) or without a request from us you send creative ideas, suggestions, reviews, proposals, plans, or other materials, whether online, by email, by postal mail, or otherwise (collectively, ‘comments’), you agree that we may, at any time, without restriction, edit, copy, publish, distribute, translate and otherwise use in any medium any comments that you forward to us. We are and shall be under no obligation (1) to maintain any comments in confidence; (2) to pay compensation for any comments; or (3) to respond to any comments.
11.2. We may, but have no obligation to, monitor, edit, or remove content that we determine in our sole discretion is unlawful, offensive, threatening, libelous, defamatory, pornographic, obscene, or otherwise objectionable or violates any party’s intellectual property or these Terms and Conditions. Any such removal or editing will be done in compliance with Dutch defamation and privacy laws.
11.3. With the written consent of customers (which is handed on check in) we reserve the right to use the photo images of feline hotel guests (which were made during their stay at our facilities) for marketing campaigns, on any platforms which is mentioned on the consent form. Customers who agreed and allowed the usage of their pet photo images for marketing, promotion or any other type of campaign with focus on new clients acquisitions, are not entitled to any type of monetary compensation or reimbursement, unless indicated otherwise in consent form.
12. Errors, Inaccuracies and Omissions
12.1. Occasionally there may be information on our site that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions that may relate to service and product descriptions, pricing, promotions, offers and availability. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions, and to change or update information if any information on our website or on any related website is inaccurate at any time without prior notice (including after you have submitted your order).
12.2. We undertake no obligation to update, amend or clarify information on our website or on any related website, including without limitation, pricing information, except as required by law. No specified update or refresh date applied on our website or on any related website should be taken to indicate that all information on our website or on any related website has been modified or updated. However, in accordance with Dutch consumer protection laws (Consumentenwetgeving), if any pricing errors significantly impact your booking, you will have the right to cancel your booking without penalty
13. Indemnification
13.1. You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Cat Vibes B.V and our parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, officers, directors, agents, contractors, licensors, service providers, subcontractors, suppliers, interns and employees harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, made by any third-party due to or arising out of your breach of these Terms and Conditions or the documents they incorporate by reference, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third-party.
14. Severability
14.1. In the event that any provision of these Terms and Conditions is determined to be unlawful, void or unenforceable, such provision shall nonetheless be enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and the unenforceable portion shall be deemed to be severed from these Terms and Conditions, such determination shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any other remaining provisions.
15. Changes to Terms and Conditions
15.1. We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website and will become effective immediately upon posting.
15.2. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes to the Terms and Conditions.
16. Governing Law
16.1. These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Dutch jurisdiction.
16.2. Any disputes arising from these Terms and Conditions or your use of our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dutch jurisdiction. In accordance with Dutch law, consumers may also submit complaints to the Dutch Foundation for Consumer Complaints Boards (De Geschillencommissie), if applicable.
17. Consumer Rights
17.1. As a customer, your statutory rights under Dutch consumer protection laws are not affected by any clause in these Terms and Conditions.
By booking a stay for your cat at Cat Vibes B.V. you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
